World of Warcraft: Extended downtime for Tuesday maintenance (May 6)

We’ve got some news coming in in case you were hoping to get back into World of Warcraft after its scheduled maintenance for Tuesday, May 6. Blizzard Entertainment is announcing via WoW’s login screen that they’ll be extending the day’s downtime.
Expect the servers to be down from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. As some readers may recall, WoW’s weekly maintenance used to last from 5 to 11, with the past few downtime announcements stretching the schedule by two hours.
It’s unclear at the moment as to why the devs have extended WoW’s downtime, though it may have something to do with patch 2.4.2, or even the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Drop by again in case we receive any more updates regarding this matter.
