Activision Blizzard Inc.'s World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King ranked as the No. 1 game title oat Amazon.com on Wed. on strong pre-orders for the upcoming expansion.

The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition held the No. 1 rank in Amazon's Video Games and PC division on Wed.

The SKU includes items like The Art of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, an exclusive in-game pet, behind-the-scenes DVD, soundtrack CD, mouse pad, and two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game March of the Legion starter decks for $69.99.

Additionally, the $36.99 standard expansion SKU ranked as the No. 2 best-selling product in the same division.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, to be released in Nov., is the second expansion for the MMORPG. New features include a level cap of 80, professional cap of 450, battle with the Lich King, a new continent called Northrend, and new items, quests, dungeons, and creatures.

World of Warcraft holds more than 10 million subscribers worldwide, with more than 2.5 million in the U.S.

The first expansion, The Burning Crusade, was released in Jan. 2007.
