Onyxia revamped as part of World of Warcraft's latest patch

Onyxia returns!
Onyxia, the dread broodmother of the Black Dragonflight and boss of one of the original World of Warcraft raid dungeons, has gained a few levels in patch 3.2.2. Her dungeon is now available to be played by level 80 characters in 10- and 25-member raiding parties. The original 40-man, level 60 version of the dungeon is no longer available.
Her loot table has been updated to include gear that level 80s will find useful, while still keeping the look of the original Onyxia gear. Also, an ultra-rare mount drop has been added, giving some lucky players the Brood of Onyxia, a flying mount modeled after the broodmother herself.
Onyxia's revamp comes ahead of the upcoming 5-year celebration of World of Warcraft. Once the 5-year celebration officially starts in November, anyone logging in for a limited time will receive an Onyxia Brood Whelpling pet. Onyxia's "return" probably plays into the upcoming World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion, too, since her father is none other than Deathwing.
